Kate Goldsmith Horn

Former Principal Horn of the Cyprus Chamber Orchestra, Kate Goldsmith has played period horns with the Kings Consort, Il Complesso Barocco and Haydn Sinfonietta Wien. As a chamber musician, she has performed with Spira Mirabilis and been a Chamber Fellow of the Royal Academy of music. More recently Kate performed live on Radio 3 and released a chart topping Cd “The Saxon Alternative”with the historical wind ensemble Syrinx. Her orchestral work has included concerts, tours and Radio Broadcasts with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra,London Mozart Players and English Symphony Orchestra. Other notable performances include the première of Stockhausen's Opera 'Sonntag aus Licht' with musikFabrik in Cologne, the pop concert for the Queen's Golden Jubilee and live televised gig with rap/hip-hop artist Kanye West.
